Hello !! Thank you for stoping by. A little about me. My name is Amanda Long, but I am known to most as Mandy. I am 52, married for 22 years, Mum to three biological children, Nan to 2 grandchildren and I also enjoy some inherited children.
I love spending time with family, reading, walking, coffee, movies and simple things. The photo above is of my grandson & myself - to me it signifies my life of redemption, able to tell my story of freedom to the next generation.
My life has been one of great grace and I have known much love and much pain, succumbing many years to broken relationships, addiction, depression & loss of enjoyment of life. I have become a lover of truth and I understand leaning into pain when necessary brings healing.
Some of my core beliefs from life experience: * You can find peace, not just manage life * You are not powerless, you have a choice * You can exchange despair for hope & victory * It doesn't have to be either or, what if it's both & more ? * Grief is real and grieving is a healthy part of life * Love is ENOUGH. Repeat. Repeat.
This I know to be true….never give up....HOPE is not elusive. Mandy
